Sweet Sunday Challenge # 65

This week I am running full speed and wanted to take the time and get my SSSC card done. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I am enjoying my Big Shot that I finally broke down and purchased. "Big Boy" is getting a workout. I really enjoy these challenges that Karen does. It helps me get my week started on a happy note. Here is this week's sketch.

and here is my take.

Stamps: All Holidays
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Sweet Pea DSP
Accessories: Small Tag Punch, Flower Layers #4, Rhinestone Brads, Certainly Celery Ribbon
In other news;
I was comissioned by my cousin Heather to help her with my niece's 13th birthday celebration. Heather, who although is small in size, has enormous ideas. She enlisted me with the herculean task of party favors for the party. Little did I know it would turn into something greater.

It started out with me making the party favors. I happily agreed to make 30 box party favors. This gives me the opportunity to use my new Stampin' Up! Box # 2 die cut I recently purchase (LOVE IT!). It has now turned into making 75 paper flowers. It seems gum paste flowers are SUPER expensive and making scallop punch flowers are a feasible idea for those who are on a budget. These little cuties are so adorable, but my are they labor intensive, especially when making 75! Oh well, I love my cousin dearly and would do anything in the world for her. She has become my bestest cheerleader and marketing agent. It seems the bakery is interested in paper flowers as a "Plan B" for people on a budget. Truth be told, I am loving coming home from a hectic day at work and paper crafting. What could be better?!

Happy Birthday Madison!

This past weekend was like a whirlwind. On Friday, I had my monthly workshop. On Saturday, I hosted Madison Perry's scrapbooking birthday party. She is one of my biggest fans. She turned 12 this year and is sooooo talented. Madison, her BFF Lilly and sister Caitlyn came over to scrap. We made adorable paper bag mini books. These girls ROCKED!! Give them adhesive and they are serious about their project.

Girls Night Out

As a special thank you for my customers, I held a Customer Appreciation Free Workshop on Friday, April 16th. It was AWESOME meeting new friends, Lindy and Hope. We all enjoyed a small dinner/snack and then proceeded to make three coordinating projects. The first was a beautiful card for mother's day. We used one of my favorite DSP, Cottage Wall. I love the soft colors. Next we made a gift box using Box # 2 die. Our final project was an adorable mini scrapbook album using the Scalloped Square die. The Big Shot got a work out that night! My new friend Lindy couldn't get enough of it. As we were standing around the Big Shot talking, she continued to cut everything in sight. Go Lindy!! I am looking forward to getting together with everyone next month.

Sweet Sunday Challenge # 64

I wasn't able to complete the 63rd Sweet Sunday Challenge last week, because of my grandsons' visit. You can see their adorable faces in my previous post. However, I LOVE starting the week feeling inspired! Waking up on Sunday morning with a cup of coffee and being able to scrapbook freely is amazing. I got a certain sense of accomplishment completing this week's challenge. Here is this week's sketch.

And here is my take.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Ink: Pink Passion and Green Galore
Paper: Pink Passion, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Punches: Modern Label and Word Window
Accessories: Pink Ribbon

Missing the boys! :(

Wow, what a week. My daughter-in-law Javiera and my two adorable grandsons Andrew and Carlos came to stay with us. We had such an amazing time. The boys have grown so much since Christmas. Carlos is walking and Andrew must have grown at least 5 inches. We went to the park, enjoyed popsicles, played with the dogs, fed the horses, swam in the pool, played video games, ate pizza, you name it, we did it. Since they live in Jacksonville, we don't see them as often as we would like to. To make up for some lost time, Javiera is planning to visit more during the summer. It is very hard for us to travel due to having the horses.

Saying goodbye to them is so hard, even though I know that we'll be seeing them again very soon.
